Graduates
Maddocks’ comprehensive graduate program is tailored to people who want their legal careers to grow. We provide a broad range of experience with the necessary work, resources and assistance to give you the best start to your career. No matter what path you choose within the firm, you will be encouraged and supported. We look for and reward talent, regardless of age or seniority.
Our graduate program is based on a rotation system that exposes you to a wide range of work and gives a broad overview of the firm. After a general induction period, Melbourne graduates will spend three months assigned to four of our seven principal areas of practice.
In Sydney our graduates will spend four months assigned to three of our seven principal areas of practice. These practices include: commercial, commercial disputes, construction, planning and environment, property, public law, tax controversy and employment, safety & people. Every effort is made to ensure that you will be placed where your interests and skills lie.
In each practice area you will work closely with a graduate co–ordinator who will allocate work and evaluate your progress. Regular meetings are held between all graduates, co–ordinators and a People & Culture Representative to discuss your progress.
