Background
Martyn is a partner in our Property group. Martyn has over 18 years experience in the property industry and specialises in commercial property, mixed-use strata developments, broadacre residential developments, hotels and trusts. He provides advice as diverse as hotel management agreement negotiation, complex strata titling issues, development agreements and joint venture arrangements including trust-based structures. Martyn's clients include a number of Australia's largest property industry participants and several leading niche players.

Legal Expertise
Drafting and negotiation of development agreements, development management agreements and project delivery agreements for a variety of commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use hospitality projects
Acquisition and disposal of all types of properties (or the entities which own them)

Martyn has extensive experience in the Australian property and development industry and has been involved in a number of significant property transactions including:
Ashington Group - sale of 107 Pitt Street, purchase of 'Cross+' development and strata sales and leasing, purchase of 'Post' development and strata sales and leasing, purchase of 10 Wylde Street and strata sales including the recent $20 million sale of the most expensive residential apartment in the Southern Hemisphere
Lindsay Bennelong - Rushcutters Bay Advanx, Gore Hill and Q-Central developments
Urbex - development agreements and associated due diligence on several developments in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, acted for Urbex in relation to the Babcock & Brown Residential Land Partners IPO, acting for Moorebank JV (joint venture between Urbex and Investa) in relation to their development arrangements with Boral
MUI Properties Berhad - sale of six "Vista" and "Corus" hotels in Australia over several years including sale of the Corus Hotel Hobart and Corus Hotel Sydney
Significant property transactions for ING, GPT, Lend Lease and Sydney Airport Corporation Limited
