Pro Bono

We take pro bono very seriously. We recognise that the community includes organisations with limited resources that are working for the public good. We are committed to supporting such organisations. Our contributions include direct financial support for community and government initiatives as well as serving on Boards and committees of government, business and community bodies. We are a member of PILCH, the Law Institute Legal Assistant Scheme and the Victorian State Government's Pro Bono Secondment Scheme.

Pro bono work is carried out across the firm, from partners to solicitors to administrative staff. Participation in it is respected and encouraged. It is coordinated by a designated committee led by our pro bono partner, Maria Marshall.

We have a clear pro bono policy covering our general approach to the performance of pro bono work throughout the firm by all partners and staff. In this way, we put the firm’s core values into practice and confirm our commitment to active community involvement.
