
Background
Prior to entering private practice, Peter headed the Sydney tax practice of the Australian Government Solicitor, and has extensive experience in the conduct or supervision of matters involving ATO compliance risk reviews, audits, tax recovery, administrative law challenges to ATO decisions and tax litigation. In private practice, Peter's experience includes advising in relation to ATO inquiries and audits, particularly in relation to income tax and GST and tax litigation in a number of major tax disputes in the Federal and High Courts.
Peter is a member of the ATO Test Case Litigation Panel. He is able to use his extensive experience to assist clients to strategically manage tax disputes, including managing their relationship with the ATO. In addition, his experience and expertise in tax litigation matters enables him to develop appropriate strategies and conduct matters effectively and efficiently.

Advising in relation to strategy and submissions in respect of mutual agreement procedures between Australian and foreign tax authorities to obtain double tax relief
