
Background
Barry offers over 40 years experience in private client services, which incorporates will making, estate planning, estate litigation and trusts law. He has handled a large number of 'family provision' claims under the new Wills Act and been involved in a number of significant cases in wills, estate and equity matters including several cy-près applications.
Barry is a trustee of several perpetual charitable estate trusts and acts for a number of Trustee Companies and charitable organisations.
Barry acts as a LEADR accredited mediator in commercial disputes and is a Law Institute of Victoria Wills and Estates Accredited Specialist. He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, RPA Lawyers Association and the Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
Barry was the senior author of the chapter entitled 'Appeals' for the Butterworth’s publication Court Forms, Precedents and Pleadings and has had a number of articles published in insurance journals. He has presented at a number of seminars on estate planning and written several articles on estate related topics for a variety of publications.
