Background
Michelle practises exclusively in commercial litigation. This has involved working in a wide range of disputes including corporations, trade practices, property, insurance and contract related litigation. Michelle has also acted in a number of disputes involving administrative and constitutional law issues.
Michelle has acted in proceedings before both State and Federal Courts, the High Court, before specialist tribunals, in Royal Commissions and in a range of arbitrations. Michelle has conducted large scale litigation employing advanced computer technology. Major litigation in which she has been involved includes acting for a multi national corporation in the Australian component of an international dispute relating to a major Indian infrastructure project. This included proceedings in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court.

- Acting for government respondents to Constitutional law proceedings commenced by Optus and Telstra challenging rates levied on their infrastructure in the Federal Court and the High Court
- Acting for a multinational corporation in Australian proceedings as part of a global dispute in relation to a major Indian infrastructure project. This included proceedings in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court
- Acting for Australia's regulator of the .au domain name space in numerous consumer protection proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia
- Investigations and advice for a major Australian corporation in relation to a possible breach of duties by former directors. Investigations included tracing funds through offshore investment trusts
