Annette has been a lawyer for over 20 years and has extensive experience in regulatory issues, litigation and alternative dispute resolution in the Construction and Engineering sector. Recently her practice has focused on prosecution enforcement and administrative law with an emphasis on building regulatory matters. Previously at the Victorian Bar from 1993 to 1996, Annette is able to use her advocacy experience when appearing before the Courts and statutory bodies.

Relevant Experience
Annette's experience includes:
- Preparing advice to the Building Commission recommending an inquiry be held into the conduct of a building surveyor for numerous and varied breaches of the Building Act involving over 500 sites and five local municipalities
- Prosecuting a current owner and past director of Victoria's largest meat processing plant for offences alleged under the Building Act 1993 including occupying the premises without an occupancy permit and in contravention of building orders
- Advising major commercial developers, contractors and subcontractors, including Construction Engineering (Aust) and Siemens amongst others, in a variety of construction based mediations, arbitrations and litigation
- Instructing and conducting various claims in the Victorian Supreme and County Courts and the Victorian and Civil Administrative Tribunal
- Preparing disputes for trial and mediation including preparing and drafting pleadings, witness statements and position papers, and liaising with experts and witnesses for the conduct of litigation
