It is now six months since the introduction and commencement of the Criminal Procedure Act 2009 (Act). We hope that our seminars and reference materials have assisted you in a smooth transition to the new Act.
In terms of the changes implemented, the most significant changes we have noticed are the requirements for prehearing disclosure. Where the accused requests a full brief, informants are required to ensure that the brief and witness statements are fully prepared.
