Our Executive Leadership team has the responsibility of building an environment for success at Maddocks.

Michelle Dixon: Chief Executive Office & Partner

Michelle leads Maddocks as our CEO. She was appointed to the role in 2014, after 18 years as a Partner and having led the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team for 13 years.

Under Michelle’s leadership, Maddocks has experienced strong growth, including a significant expansion in partner and staff numbers.

Michelle also champions gender equality and diversity issues. During her time as CEO, Maddocks has introduced a range of programs and initiatives to create a more diverse and welcoming workplace. The firm has been recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for the past 16 years.

Internationally recognised as a leader among her peers, Michelle has been listed as a leading litigation lawyer in the 2019 edition of Best Lawyers, recommended in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 for dispute resolution every year since 2011. Her leadership has seen her recognised externally, most recently as the Change Champion of the Year at the NSW Women Lawyer Achievement Awards 2019.

Michelle is also a CEO Ambassador for the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s national pay equity campaign.

Catherine Saliba: Chief Operating Officer

Catherine joined Maddocks in 2006 as Financial Controller. For 10 years, she was the Director of Finance before her remit expanded to oversee both finance and operations for the firm in 2016.

Catherine brings a suite of financial management, analysis and operations experience to Maddocks, and works closely with her team to keep the firm operating efficiently.

Brad Kay: Chief Information Officer

As CIO, Brad leads the information technology team and the innovation strategy at Maddocks. Brad joined the firm in 2017, bringing over 20 years of experience in leading technological and innovative change in businesses and organisations.

Brad’s previous roles include a CIO position at Pitcher Partners, an accounting and auditing firm, as well as a long history of leadership roles at the likes of KPMG and Spotless Group.

Deborah Stonley: Director, People & Culture

Deborah joined the Maddocks leadership team in 2018, following over 20 years of directing culture, retention and engagement strategies for another major Australian law firm. She has been recognised for her market-leading work in developing an organisational culture of inclusiveness and as a leader who adds value by providing progressive HR strategies.

Deborah’s strong track record in leading change management programs, developing and implementing remuneration strategies, talent management, succession planning and executive coaching make her a key strategic mind at Maddocks.

Louise Wilkinson: Director, Business Development, Communications & Marketing

A respected and versatile leader in the field with 3 decades of professional experience, Louise leads the business development, communications and marketing function at Maddocks. Having initially taken up the role in 2000, Louise was a member of the executive leadership team that transitioned the Maddocks brand from Maddock Lonie & Chisholm in 2004, as well as embedding a client-centric focus across the firm.

International opportunities took Louise to Hong Kong, leading APAC clients and marketing teams for both a global law firm and a Big 4 accounting firm. Since returning in 2013, Louise has been responsible for leading the firm’s overarching clients and markets strategy. Contact Louise.
