Canberra office continues expansion with special counsel appointment

Law firm Maddocks has appointed Katerina Calvert as a special counsel in its Canberra office.

Katerina specialises in government advisory work, including probity advice, and litigation. Katerina joined Maddocks this week from Sparke Helmore.

Maddocks Commonwealth Government sector leader, Simonetta Astolfi, said Katerina is an important addition to the Canberra office.

‘Maddocks is a pre-eminent adviser to the Commonwealth Government and other clients in the area of probity, process, governance and procurement-structuring, and Katerina will augment our leading team in this area of work,’ Simonetta said.

Katerina’s appointment is the latest addition to the firm’s expanding Canberra team. On 2 July, Pria O’Sullivan and her team joined Maddocks as a partner in our Canberra office from King & Wood Mallesons. Last year, Caroline Atkins, Anthony Willis and Gavan Mackenzie joined our Canberra office as partners from DLA Piper.
