Maddocks’ clients click for charities

clickcharitiesTo kick off the new year, leading law firm Maddocks is making charitable donations to the Indigenous Marathon Project (IMP), The Haymarket Foundation and Melbourne City Mission (MCM).

These donations initiated from the firm’s client Christmas eCard campaign where recipients were given the opportunity to click through from an e-Greeting to their charity of choice. Each click was lodged toward a total donation figure for one of three charities.

More than 1600 respondents engaged with the campaign which will now benefit the following:

  • The Indigenous Marathon Project is an initiative developed to use running as a vehicle to drive change, instil a sense of pride, self-belief and celebrate Australian Indigenous achievements.
  • The Haymarket Foundation is an organisation which supports homeless and disadvantaged people in inner Sydney by maximising their potential and identifying pathways to safer, healthier and more fulfilling lives.
  • Melbourne City Mission works with the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in Melbourne’s society so they can build a better future for themselves.

Maddocks CEO Michelle Dixon offers, “Our vision as a firm is clear – Working together to make a difference…every day. This campaign allowed us to bring our clients into the fold, to make a small but meaningful difference to communities in need.”

As part of Maddocks’ corporate social responsibility initiatives, the firm is committed to providing pro bono legal assistance, and charitable donations to organisations and individuals who cannot obtain support due to their circumstances. The Maddocks Foundation provides annual grants to Australian charitable organisations (chosen by the firm’s people) in general and mental health, medical research, welfare and human rights, environment and energy, and family and local communities.
