Maddocks advises Atomos on its successful capital raising
Maddocks has advised global video technology company Atomos Limited on its $10.9 million capital raising.
Funds will be used to accelerate development of new products to address emerging online streaming opportunities and strengthen the balance sheet.
The institutional placement of new fully paid ordinary shares was launched on 11 May and was oversubscribed, with strong interest from existing shareholders and new institutions. The placement will be followed by a share purchase plan offering existing shareholders an opportunity to further invest in the company to raise approximately $1.7 million.
The Maddocks team who advised on the transaction was partner Catherine Merity and special counsel Rosamond Sayer.
Morgans Corporate Limited and Henslow Pty Limited acted as Lead Managers to the institutional placement.
This is the latest matter on which the Maddocks Equity Capital Markets team has advised Atomos.
The firm advised Atomos in 2019 on its acquisition of UK-based Timecode Systems and its concurrent $22.56 million capital raising. Maddocks also advised Atomos on its initial public offering and ASX listing in 2018.
