Maddocks advises Render Networks on sale
Maddocks has advised the founders of digital network construction business Render Networks on the sale of a majority stake in the group to IFM Investors.
The transaction is another example of Maddocks’ expertise in advising business founders on their sale and partnership transactions.
Render Networks is a
construction technology and enterprise SaaS company based in Melbourne. It was co-founded in 2013 by Dan Flemming, former head of
construction at NBN Australia, and Joe Forbes of Biarri, a commercial
mathematics incubator of B2B SaaS solutions.
Render Networks uses a
proprietary geospatial construction platform to build networks more
efficiently. The transaction also included an investment of growth capital by
IFM Investors to take Render Networks to its next phase of growth.
The core Maddocks team was led
by Corporate Partner Damien Wurzel with the support of Senior Associate Steven
Tang, and lawyers Jack Coventry, Linda Delli Cicchi and Nick Worth. Partner
Leigh Baring and Special Counsel Andrew Wright provided tax and revenue
support, while Partner Brendan Tomlinson and Special Counsel Gregory Palumbo
advised on IP and IT aspects of the transaction.
IFM was advised by PwC
Australia, Gilbert & Tobin and Altman Solon.
Maddocks has a strong track
record in advising founders, including having acted on high value transactions
for the founders of Camp
Australia, HPS Group, Sushi
Sushi, Annex Foods and Pryde’s
Tuckerbag.
