Maddocks appoints equity capital markets partner and special counsel

Maddocks has expanded its corporate offering with the appointment of partner Catherine Merity and special counsel Rosa Sayer.
They will join Maddocks Corporate and Commercial team in Sydney on 1 May from DLA Piper.
Catherine is an equity capital markets expert and has practised in both Australia and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on cross-border fundraisings, including multi-jurisdictional IPOs and other capital raisings, as well as advising on schemes of arrangement, mergers and acquisitions (public and private), and joint ventures.
Rosa’s practice is also in equity capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions (public and private), and in particular has acted on a number of major IPOs in the Australian market. She also has extensive experience advising Australian and overseas clients on ASX and Australian securities matters.
Head of the Maddocks Sydney Corporate and Commercial team Duncan Hall said the appointments of Catherine and Rosa enhances the firm’s corporate offering.

Maddocks CEO Michelle Dixon said Catherine’s appointment continued the strong growth of the firm.
