Maddocks appoints new Director of People & Culture
Maddocks has today announced the appointment of Shannon Lyndon-Lugg as its new Director of People & Culture.
Shannon will join the firm from Allens where she has held the position of General Manager, People & Development, and where she has held a number of key People & Culture leadership roles since 2020. Her previous experience also includes working in senior people roles at NAB, Seek and PwC.
Shannon’s appointment follows the pending retirement of Maddocks’ current Director of People & Culture, Deborah Stonley, who will step down following a remarkable career. Deborah has dedicated the last 34 years of her professional life to P&C teams in law firms, including the last six years leading the P&C function at Maddocks. Deborah is well known for her professionalism and insights. She has made a significant contribution across the profession with her kindness and wisdom benefitting many people.
Shannon will join Maddocks in September and will be based in Melbourne.
Maddocks CEO David Newman said: “Shannon brings with her a wealth of experience leading HR teams, and providing strategic and operational initiatives across talent, performance, career development and resourcing. We are delighted she will be joining Maddocks as the firm continues to grow to meet client demands and evolve the way we work with each other and our clients.
“I want to thank Deborah for her dedication and service to Maddocks over the last six years. We were very fortunate to have her leading our P&C function and have her expertise through the pandemic, and as we modernised our P&C function over that time. We wish Deborah all the best in her retirement."
