4 July 2013: Maddocks is continuing its strong growth trend in 2013 with the appointment of five new partners this year.

Of the new partner appointments, two were lateral hires from top tier firms and three were internal promotions. The appointments were made in two out of the three Maddocks offices (Melbourne and Sydney) and across the firm's three key sectors – government, infrastructure and services.

The firm now has 71 partners across three offices, reflecting partnership growth of 2.9% since 2012. Maddocks CEO David Rennick said all of the growth has been organic, driven purely by the needs of the firm’s clients.

"Last year we opened a Canberra office and our Sydney office celebrated its 10th anniversary – supporting our clients' needs geographically and otherwise is part of Maddocks' continued commitment to offering exceptional client service."

This year, all of the new partners are women. The new additions bring the total Maddocks female partners to 22 nationally – 31% of the total partnership.

"We are delighted that this year all our new appointments are women. According to recently published statistics, having 30% women in a partnership is above the legal industry average. We feel really proud to be part of that group."

"We strive to be the best firm to work in and provide our staff with the opportunity to prosper in their careers whilst balancing their lives outside of the office."

The new partners are:

Melbourne:
Catherine Debreceny, Corporate & Commercial
Simela Karasavidis, Infrastructure & Major Projects
Mimi Marcus, Planning & Environment
Gina Wilson, Dispute Resolution & Litigation

Sydney:
Lucille Scomazzon, Corporate/Health & Aged Care
