Leading law firm Maddocks has announced the appointment of special counsel Alicia Albury, senior associate Brigid Clark, associate Suzanne Rizk and lawyer Jenny Lo who have all recently joined Maddocks from a major international law firm.
Alicia brings to Maddocks more than 20 years’ experience specialising in all aspects of commercial property transactional and advice work. She is joined by Suzanne and Jenny, both of whom she worked with in her previous role. Maddocks’ Partner – Property Lisa Chung offers, “Alicia’s wide-ranging experience will strengthen and expand our property law practice and offer our clients clear insights on transactions from a variety of perspectives.”
Alicia’s practice involves all aspects of commercial property transactions, property-related restructuring, turnaround and insolvency matters and energy and resources land tenure issues. She advises developers, owners, managers and government authorities on industrial, commercial, retail and hotel acquisitions, disposals and development; industrial and commercial leasing; and property management.

The firm’s Employment, Safety and People team has been bolstered with the appointment of senior associate Brigid Clark who also joined from Alicia’s previous firm. Brigid’s experience includes advising ASX 200 clients across the finance, energy and resources, government and manufacturing industries on their obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and industry specific safety laws. She has strong expertise in conducting and advising on workplace investigations, Fair Work Act 2009, WHS prosecutions and other litigation matters.
