Maddocks receives Employer of Choice for Equal Opportunity citation for 14th consecutive year

Wednesday 21 February 2018

Maddocks has once again been recognised by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for its initiatives in achieving gender equality.

Maddocks received an Employer of Choice for Equal Opportunity citation today from the Federal Government body – the 14th consecutive year the firm has received the citation.

The firm was recognised for a range of initiatives designed to promote gender equality, including the promotion of women to partnership and other leadership positions, measures to ensure pay equity and unconscious bias training.

Maddocks also promotes flexible working practises, with 28 per cent of the firm overall, including 20 per cent of the partnership, working flexibly.

Maddocks CEO Michelle Dixon said she was pleased that the firm had been recognised for its gender equality initiatives.

‘It is important for our people and our business that everyone receives the same incentives and opportunities that come from doing your job well,’ Michelle said.

‘The programs, policies and initiatives we have implemented over the past decade have been designed to emphasise the value our employees bring to the firm. Our success over that time, with significant partner, employee and revenue growth, is proof that gender equality is an important step towards business success.’
