About Geordie
Geordie primarily advises on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets matters. He regularly advises on private treaty M&A, restructuring, corporate governance, ASIC/ASX compliance, public takeovers and takeover defences. Geordie has also developed a valuable skill set advising clients on Chapter 2M - financial reporting requirements and ASIC Class Order Relief.
Geordie has experience across a broad range of industries (ranging from resources, industrials and financial services to pharmaceuticals and service-based organisations) with a diverse range of clients (from large multinationals like Johnson Controls (NYSE - JCI) to private equity funds and small domestic companies).
In his spare time Geordie enjoys participating in team sports like baseball, engaging in the Australian theatre community and participating in motorsports.

Advising the Sunsuper superannuation fund on their acquisition of a $231 million 50% stake in Mirvac’s Locomotive Workshop redevelopment in Sydney.

Realm Resources Limited
Advising RRP on its response to an unsolicited, off-market hostile takeover bid. The transaction involved advising RRP through the non-affiliated directors on a range of complex takeover and regulatory issues and Takeover Panel proceedings. In addition, we advised RRP in connection with preparatory work for a capital raise associated with a re-compliance listing on ASX and general ASX and ASIC regulatory advice and a full multinational due diligence program, preparation of ASX listing application and long-form prospectus.
