About Isabelle

Isabelle is a Senior Associate in the Maddocks Sydney office in the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, advising and acting for private sector and government clients. She advises clients on general contractual and commercial disputes, including on competition and consumer law issues. Isabelle also regularly assists private sector clients respond to regulatory investigations, including acting in proceedings arising out of those investigations.

Isabelle has experience in a broad range of legal forums including ACT and NSW Supreme Courts, Federal Court, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Royal Commissions and commercial arbitrations.

Experience

• Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd

  Acting for Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd in the $650 million dispute and Federal Court of Australia proceedings commenced by 38 of its Australian dealers.

• Regulatory investigations

  Assisting clients respond to investigations brought by Federal and State regulatory bodies including responding to statutory notices issued by regulators. As well as acting for those clients when investigations progress to litigated proceedings.

• Administrative review

  Acting for a large Commonwealth Department in numerous and ongoing Administrative Appeals Tribunal proceedings in respect of decisions made in the administration of Commonwealth legislation.
