Investment Fund – Breach of contract claims
Acting for a Chinese investment fund in the prosecution of claims under contract law against the subsidiary of a state-owned enterprise and related tracing claims. The claims were adjudicated over a 50-day trial in the Victorian Supreme Court.
Manufacturer – Investigation on price-fixing
Acting for a US manufacturer responding to an investigation by the UK regulator on allegations of price-fixing.
Supermarket – Merger clearance
Acting for a ‘big-4’ UK supermarket chain seeking clearance from the UK regulator in respect to a proposed merger with another supermarket chain.
Manufacturer – Corporations law action
Acting for a Japanese manufacturer in the defence of several Corporations Act matters (derivative leave applications and oppression claims) relating to alleged breaches of intellectual property rights in Japan, China and Australia.
Investment Fund – Criminal investigation
Acting for an APAC investment fund responding to investigations on allegations of criminal conduct concerning certain investments in Australia.
