Stefanie is a commercial lawyer with substantial experience in corporate and project structuring, intellectual property and consumer law. She provides strategic commercial advice and practical solutions, for both private and public sector clients across a broad range of industries such as FMCG, education, health, arts and property development.
Stefanie’s particular expertise is in the commercialisation of intellectual property and technology. This includes advertising and branding, IP licensing and protection, infringement risk management, research and development collaborations, commercialisation programs, technology transfer agreements and design agreements. Stefanie is also experienced with large projects involving property development, corporate restructures, process and policy reviews. She has worked closely with government organisations and higher education providers reviewing compliance and management frameworks and implementing organisation-wide changes.
Intellectual property commercialisation
Advising Swinburne University, Bureau of Meteorology and Environment Protection Authority on the commercialisation of research and development projects including negotiating and drafting collaboration and design agreements, technology transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements and application user terms and conditions for computer software applications, virtual reality technology and complex scientific research.
Intellectual property protection
Advising clients such as Swinburne University, Endeavour College of Natural Health, Australian Centre of Moving Image, Bureau of Meteorology, Department of Justice and Melbourne Fire Brigade on intellectual property policies and process management, copyright and moral rights exploitation, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights, Australian and international brand protection strategy including establishing and managing trade mark portfolios, resolving registration objections and settling intellectual property disputes.

Advising clients including property developers Mirvac, Satterley, AHB Australia, Lotus Oaks and Nightingale on Australian Consumer Law compliance including risk assessment of marketing and advertising campaign terms and conditions, privacy and data protection, and the collection of personal information for trade promotions, lotteries, social media and online advertising campaigns.
Corporate structuring, governance and regulatory compliance
Advising both emerging and established businesses such as Shelby’s Healthy Hedonism, Hairhouse Warehouse, Swinburne University, Trinity College, Victoria Police Legacy and Emergency Services Foundation on various commercial matters including day-to-day corporate governance and organisational structuring including start-up business structuring, restructuring large not-for-profit organisations, capital raising, share transactions and regulatory compliance.

Negotiating and documenting complex development structures, including development agreements, partnership and unit trust arrangements and upstream ownership structures including advising on foreign investment transactions, partnership, unit trust and share sales for many of Victoria’s largest property developments.
