Tamie specialises in advising clients in the health, aged care and disability service sectors. Tamie is driven and passionate about collaborating with clients to bring strategic, commercial and practical solutions to complex governance and compliance challenges. Tamie’s experience includes provision of advice to private, listed and not-for-profit providers in the areas of regulatory compliance, advising on responses to regulatory bodies, privacy, consumer law, reportable incidents, security of tenure, complaints, policy reviews and preparation.

Tamie has experience both as an in-house and private practice lawyer. Tamie’s time 'in-house' has allowed her to develop a deep understanding and strong commercial awareness of the needs of providers within the health, aged care and disability service sectors.

    Advising on and preparation of aged care and disability service resources including policies, procedures, training sessions, staff resources on privacy, consumer law, supporting client choice and management of risk, substitute decision makers, voluntary assisted dying, serious incident response scheme, and restrictive practices.

    Advising on the preparation of responses to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

    Advising on purchase and applications to transfer aged care places and provisional aged care places as part of a substantial development strategy.
