About Thandi

Thandi advises on a broad range of real estate and property development law matters including arrangements and negotiations for the sale and purchase of commercial retail properties and development sites and associated due diligence. Thandi has extensive experience in preparing off-the-plan sales documents for land developments including greenfield developments with planned communities.

Thandi has also assisted clients in a variety of leasing and licensing matters and has wide-ranging experience in the preparation of leasing templates for landlords of newly developed shopping centres as well as experience in providing general lease advice on matters such as incentives, compliance and advice on breaches.


  • Satterley

    Assisting with Satterley’s land developments at Arcadia, Botanical, True North and Bluestone including Satterley’s acquisition of 800 Derrimut Road, Tarneit which is now known as Bluestone. Day-to-day work involves the development of stages within each of these estates – drafting contracts of sale, settlements of each of these stages, GAIC advice, heads of agreements with builders to deliver medium density products, section 173 agreements and collaborating with our Construction and Major Projects teams for construction access licenses.

  • Dahua

    Assisting in all aspects of Dahua Group’s Westwood Place master planned community in Fraser Rise, including preparation of land, house and land contracts and medium density contracts of sale.

  • Beulah

    Assisting Beulah with development known as South Bank by Beulah. South Bank by Beulah is one of Australia’s most ambitious developments noting that, on completion of construction, it will by Australia’s tallest building. Thandi has assisted with purchaser contract amendments, considering innovative structures to allow purchasers to customise their apartments, as well as owners corporation considerations. Thandi has also completed a secondment at Beulah to assist with the drafting and negotiation of various consultancy agreements with design and non-design consultants across Beulah’s various projects.

  • EIG

    Assisting with drafting master forms of Agreement for Lease and Lease and negotiating lease terms and conditions with various Tenants (both anchor and specialty tenancies) of Opalia Shopping Centre.

  • Mernda

    Assisted with the acquisition of the mixed-use Mernda Town Centre in Melbourne's north. Following settlement of the acquisition contract, Thandi has assisted with drafting master forms of Agreement for Lease and Lease and negotiating terms of lease with various specialty and anchor tenants of the shopping centre.
