Special counsel joins Maddocks in Canberra

Veena Bedekar has joined Maddocks as a special counsel in the firm’s Canberra office.

Veena Bedekar has joined Maddocks as a special counsel in the firm’s Canberra office.

Veena joined Maddocks this week and will work with the Maddocks Probity and Property teams. She joins from Proximity Advisory Services having also spent time at both HWL Ebsworth and DLA Piper.

Maddocks Canberra partner Caroline Atkins said that Veena brought significant experience from working closely with the Commonwealth Government.

‘Veena has over 10 years of experience providing probity advice to Commonwealth departments and agencies, as well as property advice to government and corporate clients,’ Caroline said.

‘She has also been seconded to the Commonwealth Government numerous times, including the Department of Home Affairs and a virtual secondment to the Department of the Environment.

‘We are excited to welcome Veena to Maddocks.’
