What's happened?

The Victorian Government has now announced the details of Stage 4 restrictions for workplaces. It is expected that workplaces in metropolitan Melbourne are closed, unless the workplace is a permitted industry as set out in the Chief Health Officer’s directions in which case the workplace can either continue to remain open, or conduct on-site work in a limited capacity. Other businesses will close for on-site work, but working from home remains permissible in all categories.

The Stage 4 restrictions will bring with them unique challenges and issues. This guide is designed to assist employers navigate through a number of those issues and provide key takeaway points.
