Our work
Major renewable energy assets, including solar, wind and battery storage (BESS) projects
Acting for clients involved in the funding, development, delivery, operation, acquisition and sale of renewable energy assets. Includes clients such as CleanPeak Energy, Origin Energy, and PCL Construction.
Renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
We have acted for major energy retailers and large corporates in long term renewable PPAs, under which they purchase both energy and LGCs. Certainty of supply of Large Scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) to meet their regulatory obligations (energy retailers) and 100% renewable sourced energy (large corporates) is essential.
NEM spot market and regulatory advisory work
We have advised extensively over many years for major electricity generators and gentailers (being combined generators and retailers), such as Hydro Tasmania and regulatory advisory work.
Distributed energy assets and virtual power plants (VPPs)
We acted for the National Renewables Network (NRN) in partnership with energy retailers, solar battery suppliers and AI technology providers to establish and operate large numbers of solar battery installations across multiple customer sites as a VPP operating in the National Electricity Market.
Wholesale and retail energy, carbon and environmental product (EP) contracting
We act for energy companies and international commodity trading houses on physical and derivative contracts and trades (including under the ISDA contracting framework), and a wide range of energy retail contracts for commercial and industrial customers (including carbon neutral, demand response, spot market pass through energy products/services).
Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure and contract offerings
Acting for electricity distributors and their affiliates (e.g. Ausgrid and Plus ES) and large integrated energy companies (e.g. Origin Energy) in respect of their EV offerings.
Customer and supply agreements
Acting for governments, major industrial users (e.g. mining and minerals processing), universities, hospitals and other private companies on collective and collaborative energy procurements.
