    • This matter required attention to documenting urgent rectification works aimed at restoring the property to its former glory, as well as the development and ongoing management of a conservation plan throughout the remainder of the lease term, with a view to securing the property’s long-term future as a vibrant centre for cultural and educational engagement. 

      Particular practical considerations included managing difficulties associated with the unique nature of the property, including the provision of satisfactory insurance, and the confidential nature of the matter itself. 

      From a management point of view, the matter involved liaison with the Department’s probity advisor to ensure that the process was conducted with integrity, as well as compliance with the particular process and timing requirements of the Heritage Council to enable the Minister to execute the transaction documents.
