Maddocks advances its AI strategy by rolling out Harvey enterprise-wide

• 23 June 2026 • 2 min read

Eighteen months into its AI program, Maddocks has announced they are rolling out Harvey enterprise-wide, marking another significant milestone in the firm’s journey to embed AI into daily workflows.

Following the successful enterprise-wide rollout of Microsoft Copilot to support general productivity in 2025, Maddocks will now deploy Harvey enterprise-wide as its specialist legal AI platform. This rollout will provide access for all lawyers and legal support staff to drive consistent high-quality outcomes for clients.

The decision follows a structured pilot across 13 practice teams where Maddocks' lawyers demonstrated high engagement with 70% running queries daily, 88% returning week after week and strong partner-led adoption with all Partners across participating teams actively engaging with Harvey.

Ashleigh Whittaker, Australian Country Manager & Head of GTM, ANZ at Harvey, said,

"Maddocks had one of the highest engagement scores we have seen in our Australian law firms’ trials. The level of engagement we saw throughout the pilot reflected both the firm's commitment to innovation and the enthusiasm lawyers had for Harvey. Adoption quickly gained momentum across practice groups, creating a strong foundation for this enterprise-wide rollout. We're excited to drive the next phase of adoption and help embed Harvey across the firm."

Maddocks will integrate Harvey into legal workflows to accelerate document review, due diligence and drafting, allowing lawyers to focus on higher-value strategic advice while maintaining rigorous professional oversight and responsible AI use.

This marks the next phase of Maddocks’ AI journey, combining firmwide capability uplift with a clear, governed pathway to long-term transformation.

David Newman, Maddocks CEO, said,

“Our investment in Harvey is enterprise-wide, as part of our ongoing AI strategy. The success of the pilot reflects the deliberate and strategic groundwork we put in place to prepare our people, with our lawyers already using our other AI tools to assist in delivering high quality outcomes for clients. We enjoyed working with the Harvey team and look forward to building a great relationship over the coming years."

One of the key factors in the selection of Harvey was the ability to collaborate with key clients via Shared Spaces. The Maddocks team is excited to work with key clients of the firm to co-create workflows and solutions in the near future.
