Maddocks advises Yarra Park City on sale and joint venture for new build-to-rent tower in Melbourne Square

Maddocks has advised Malaysian development company Yarra Park City, subsidiary company of OSK Group, on a joint venture with GURNER and Qualitas (GQ) to develop and operate a new BTR residential tower within its landmark Melbourne Square precinct in Southbank.
The site for the new tower is within Yarra Park City’s $2.8 billion Melbourne Square precinct.
The Maddocks team was led by Commercial Partner Chong Ming Goh along with Development Partner James Beauchamp who advised on all property aspects of the matter. Maddocks also advised on the commercial aspects of the deal along with advice about the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB).
Maddocks previously advised Yarra Park City on the development of Stage One of Melbourne Square.
Melbourne Square will feature six towers and 2,600 residences.
