We are the legal adviser of choice when it comes to providing industrial relations advice to state governments
Maddocks has long been the legal adviser of choice when it comes to providing strategic industrial relations advice to state governments.
In 2015 we advised Victoria Police on all aspects of their enterprise bargaining, including the technical requirements relating to issuing the notice of employee representational rights, individual bargaining representatives, the Better Off Overall Test, reviewing the proposed agreement for compliance requirements under the Fair Work Act 2009, protected action ballot orders, industrial action risks and the voting and approval process under the Fair Work Act.
During the same period we also advised VicRoads and the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority on their enterprise bargaining.
Importantly, we assisted each of our clients to successfully reach agreement with their employees and relevant union representatives, without protracted disputation.
Partner Ross Jackson led the Maddocks team on these matters.
