Ali prides herself on being able to assist her clients in both the public and private sectors to navigate complex industrial situations, by providing thorough and practical advice. She is an experienced litigator, assisting clients in matters before the Fair Work Commission, VCAT, the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, the Federal and Federal Circuit Court and the High Court. She is often called on to advise clients in relation to complex and sensitive issues, including employee misconduct and discipline, executive employment, transfers of business, implementation of change and discrimination.

Complex and protracted litigation – State Revenue Office
Advising in relation to employee misconduct and subsequent litigation in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, involving contractual issues, obligations upon public sector employers and procedural fairness in misconduct investigations.

Advising a number of local councils and State Government bodies in relation to cessation of services and restructures, including about consultation, transfer of instruments and related applications to the Fair Work Commission.
