About Tamsin
Tamsin manages the Maddocks pro bono practice at a National level. Broadly, this involves maintaining and building relationships with key pro bono clients to identify legal needs and source appropriate pro bono referrals, as well as building pro bono capacity within the firm, and endeavouring to achieve best practice in the pro bono space.
Tamsin is also an employment lawyer and provides not-for-profit organisations with practical advice and assistance in relation to a wide range of workplace and industrial relations issues, including termination of employment, sexual harassment, anti-discrimination, general protections, unfair dismissal, transfer of business, investigations, employment contracts and enterprise agreement approval.
Tamsin represents employees on a pro bono basis, providing employment law advice and representing employees in the Fair Work Commission, including in relation to unfair dismissals and general protection matters.

Sexual harassment
Advising clients on best practice in preventing sexual harassment in the workplace; reviewing and drafting best practice sexual harassment policies; assisting clients to navigate the complexities of sexual harassment investigations; and assisting to defend sexual harassment claims in the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Enterprise bargaining
Assisting and advising clients throughout all stages of the bargaining process, including drafting and reviewing enterprise agreement amendments prior to the commencement of bargaining (including for the Victorian community legal sector); providing advice in relation to union negotiations; providing advice in relation to pre-approval steps and assisting clients respond to requests for further information from the Fair Work Commission.

Unfair dismissal, discrimination and general protections claims
Assisting various clients defend discrimination, unfair dismissal and general protections claims in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Court.

Assisting various clients (including Our Community and WEstjustice) to draft and review best practice workplace policies.
