    • Maddocks advised on the remediation, sale and redevelopment of the former BHP Steelworks site in Newcastle. 

      The site is over 150Ha and was to be developed for a mixture of infrastructure, port, intermodal and commercial uses under a project delivery agreement.  

      The Maddocks team were the lead advisers on all aspects of the project for the Government parties including leading the negotiation and drafting of all contract documents including a Project Delivery Agreement (PDA) for the delivery of the project.

    • Maddocks were the lead advisers to the NSW Government proponents - Hunter Development Corporation (now Hunter Central Coast Development Corporation) and Government Property NSW, drafting all project documents and advising on legal risk strategies.
