Maddocks acts for Stockland on new automated facility
Maddocks has advised Stockland on the leasing of a new automated facility to e-commerce company New Aim - the first completed building at Melbourne Business Park.
The new sustainable facility at 90 Melbourne Drive in Truganina in Melbourne’s west, will take up 31,500 square metres, and will be part of one of the largest masterplanned industrial precincts in the city. New Aim will use the new building to house and dispatch its growing range of products to consumers and businesses.
Partner Nick Sparks led the Maddocks Development team, and was supported by senior associate John Varos and Associate Tommy Delatycki. Their work primarily focused on drafting and negotiating the agreement for lease, and lease and ancillary leasing documents.
Speaking about the project, Nick said: “This was a significant milestone for Stockland and we were very pleased to have supported them through this first building completion. Our team was able to draw on its experience in managing large scale industrial development projects and complex transactions to help successfully close the deal.”
