About Catherine

Catherine has extensive experience advising across a broad range of property matters including land acquisitions, acquisitions for multi-tenanted commercial buildings, GAIC affected land, off-the-plan and post-registration contract drafting and contract administration, commercial leasing and all aspects of legal due diligence. Her clients span the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors and have included publicly listed and private property developers and investors.

Experience

• Mirvac

  Advising on its Olivine project in Donnybrook, a multi-stage residential development. Catherine has advised on establishing pre-sale documents for the project, managing the sales process for each stage of release and management of the broader project delivery.

• Tong Eng

  Acting in relation to the acquisition of a multi-tenanted commercial CBD building. This acquisition involved 6 months of contract negotiations with the vendor's solicitor and involved a multitude of complex matters, particularly in the context of a surrounding development.

• Cedar Woods Properties

  Acting in respect of the leasing and subsequent sale of a commercial building to a Victorian government tenant. This included a lengthy negotiations on the Agreement for Lease and Lease with the government tenant, followed by further complex negotiations on the sales contract with a private investor. Given the tenant's profile as a Victorian government body, the Agreement for Lease and Lease contained some very bespoke drafting, with input from our construction, tax and commercial teams.

• Evolve

  Acting in respect of its Botanic apartment development in Coventry Street. Catherine assisted in the sales contracts including applying to the FIRB for pre-approval to sell off-the-plan apartments to foreign buyers, managing the staged settlements and assisted with post-registration matters. Catherine dealt with some fairly unique matters arising out of the project include dealing with the freehold title to the airspace located on the adjoining land.

• ID_Land

  Advising on numerous projects, predominantly land projects, including Watermark, Elements, Amber and Attwell. Catherine has advised on acquisition of the sites, establishing pre-sale documents for the developments, managing the sales process for each stage of release and management of the conveyancing services and broader project delivery.
