Bettina has more than 20 years' experience in providing advisory and transactional services relating to real estate transactions nationwide.
Bettina provides property development legal advice to a variety of public and private, listed and unlisted clients including, Stockland, Frasers, Besgate, Burbank, Cedar Woods, Wel.co, Study Group, Dealcorp, Metro Properties, National Pacific Properties, Fortis Group, Time and Place, Wingate, PDG, and VIMG. Her practice consists of providing advice in relation to development work and advising high net worth individuals and companies in their property matters.
Bettina is passionate about the industry, which she has been highly active in for many years, including as a Board Member of the UDIA Victorian Division for over 8 years. She currently sits on the Board of Advisors for the Property Industry Foundation.
Bettina is regularly recognised for her work and her ability to innovate in the legal industry including as a finalist for many Lawyers Weekly awards such as Partner of the Year in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards and Real Estate Partner of the Year, New Partner of the Year and Innovator of the Year at the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards. She lead the development on the Maddocks eContracts platform, which won the UDIA Awards for Excellence, and the development of Maddocks ePortfolio, a cutting edge reporting platform for clients.
Bettina also leads the Innovation function at Maddocks and plays a critical role in client service delivery. Her focus on the latest in legal solutions and design support ensures our clients have access to the best in transformation support to make business easier.

Cedar Woods
Advising Cedar Woods on the delivery of Williams Landing, a mixed-use community including strata offices, retail, residential buildings and bespoke offices. This involved drafting and negotiating long term Agreements for Lease and Leases to the Minster for Finance and securing a high-profile medical centre operator.

National Pacific Properties / Burbank
Providing advice on the mixed-use developments at Eliston and Hartleigh including conveyancing, DCP and section 173 agreements and licence requirements.

Georges Building
Managing the leasing portfolio of the historic Georges Building on Collins Street, Melbourne, including setting up a suite of precedent leasing documents, negotiating numerous long-term leases (both retail and commercial) and drafting very bespoke clauses to accommodate the needs of tenants whilst maintaining the historic significance of this building. This included advising on the leasing arrangements for Hub Australia, the country’s largest privately owned coworking operator.

Advising all aspects of property and leasing including the sale of Tooronga shopping centre, the acquisition of an apartment site in Brunswick, the acquisition of 975 Donnybrook Road and development advice for its Mt Atkinson project.
