About Kirsten
Kirsten is a solicitor advocate who has extensive experience advising and acting on behalf of both private and public sector clients. She has a particular interest in litigation and works across all areas of law that touch on the employment relationship.
Kirsten provides practical and strategic advice to clients on industrial relations matters, enterprise agreements and bargaining, equal opportunity and discrimination, contracts of employment, disciplinary proceedings, restraints of trade, unfair dismissal claims and general protections matters.

Employment litigation
Significant experience in a range of employment litigation matters including post-employment restraints, general protections claims and unfair dismissals across all jurisdictions. Kirsten is a solicitor advocate and has appeared in multiple jurisdictions including in the Fair Work Commission to successfully defend an unfair dismissal claim on behalf of the City of Darebin - Rolando Locastro v City of Darebin [2021] FWC 6656.

Enterprise agreements and bargaining
Drafting and reviewing proposed enterprise agreements, drafting submissions to the Fair Work Commission and providing legal advice regarding approval requirements including the BOOT. This experience extends to bargaining for and advising on multi-enterprise agreements as well as single employer enterprise agreements.

Discrimination and sexual harassment
Advising and acting for private and public sector clients in relation to discrimination and sexual harassment claims, including providing critical strategic advice to manage complex claims.

Advising on a wide range of employment issues including employment contracts, managing ill and injured employees, unpaid work placements, employee entitlements, enforceability of restraint of trade provisions, award coverage and redundancy processes.
