Experience

• Energy projects and commercial transactions

  Advising on the development and delivery of energy projects and complex contracting arrangements. Recent transactions include advising:

  • a solar battery / virtual power plant service provider in relation to its solar/battery supply, installation and operation contracts for customers, in partnership with energy retailers;

  • distribution networks and large customers on connection development and supply services agreements for generators and large loads; and 

  • a major integrated energy company in relation to carbon and environmental product trading and contracting.

• Energy regulatory

  Providing comprehensive advice on energy regulatory matters, including advising: 

  • various energy retailers and network businesses on regulatory compliance requirements and processes for the NER, NERL and NERR; and 

  • government departments in relation to the sale and purchase of carbon credit units, and implementation of gas regulation and related matters. 

• Corporate transactions

  Advising on various corporate M&A transactions, primarily in the energy sector. Recent transactions include advising integrated energy service providers on:

  • development, operation and sale of embedded networks businesses; and 

  • acquisition of renewable energy assets.
