Rebecca Power is a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. She advises government and commercial clients on complex disputes, regulatory investigations and strategic litigation across a range of industries. She has extensive experience in the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court of Australia and the Administrative Review Tribunal.
Rebecca has developed particular experience in high‑stakes litigation involving contractual disputes, franchising, consumer protection, regulatory enforcement and administrative review of Government decisions. She also has significant advocacy experience, appearing frequently before the Administrative Review Tribunal.

Endeavour Energy
Acting for Endeavour Energy in Supreme Court of New South Wales proceedings brought by a former contractor, Vergan Enterprises, arising from works performed across five Endeavour Energy sites in the Sydney region. The contractor alleged that Endeavour Energy engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct in the administration of the project and unlawful termination of five agreements following a safety incident at one of the sites.

Mercedes Benz Australia
Successfully acted for Mercedes-Benz in the $650 million dispute and Federal Court of Australia proceedings and subsequent High Court appeal brought upon by 38 of its Australian dealers challenging the company’s transition to an agency sales model. The team of 35 lawyers, Counsel and paralegals acting for Mercedes-Benz in the ground-breaking dispute was led by Sydney Dispute Resolution & Litigation partner, Shaun Temby with assistance from partners, Gina Wilson and Greg Hipwell. Mercedes-Benz is the first luxury car brand in Australia to make this decision. The case has been viewed with interest by motor vehicle manufacturers around the world and was the subject of significant media-attention across Australia. In November, the High Court of Australia refused the dealers' special leave to appeal, bringing an end to the dealers’ claims.

TVSN
Acting for TVSN, defending a claim brought by television network, WIN Corporation, in the Supreme Court of NSW, focusing on allegations of misleading and deceptive conduct and breach of contract. The proceedings arise out of a Channel License Agreement between WIN and TVSN, granting WIN a licence to broadcast the TVSN channel.

Burwood Council
Advising Burwood Council in a dispute concerning the scope and exercise of rights under a right of way easement, including claims that the easement should be extinguished.

Advising in relation to investigations commenced by the ACCC, including potential breaches of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Australian Consumer Law and spanning issues such as misleading or deceptive conduct and unconscionable conduct.
