About Sarah

Sarah advises all levels of government, as well as private sector clients, on planning, environmental and administrative law matters.

She has particular expertise in environmental planning and approvals, regulatory enforcement and compliance, contamination, and environmental and planning due diligence, as well as heritage matters. 

Sarah regularly appears in the New South Wales Land and Environment Court, including in Class 1 merits appeals and civil enforcement proceedings. Her broader experience includes matters before the District Court, Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Experience

• Environmental offences and compliance
  • Advising on regulatory investigations and prosecutions arising from environmental incidents, including pollution, licence breaches, waste and planning matters.
• NSW Land and Environment Court
  • Acting for consent authorities and private clients in complex proceedings in Classes 1, 4 and 5 of the NSW Land and Environment Court.
• Local councils
  • Advising councils on regulatory matters, development assessment, compliance and enforcement, heritage, roads, waste and contamination.
• Secondment to Transport for NSW
  • Sarah has undertaken two secondments at Transport for NSW within the Projects, Development and Planning team, advising on planning and environmental matters.
