Sophie is a corporate and commercial lawyer with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions. She regularly acts on buy side and sell side M&A matters, including share and asset acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructures. 

Sophie is also a trusted advisor to boards and executive teams, regularly providing governance advice and general corporate and commercial advice to clients in the listed and unlisted environment, including not-for-profits.

Known for her pragmatic and commercially focused approach, Sophie combines strong transactional expertise with an understanding of the regulatory and operational challenges facing organisations in the healthcare sector. 

Sophie has been listed as a finalist for Senior Associate of the Year at the Australian Law Awards in both 2024 and 2025.

  Advising on a range of private M&A transactions including acquisitions, divestments, mergers and strategic partnerships.

• Regulatory and compliance

  Providing regulatory advice to providers across the healthcare sector, including compliance with legislative frameworks and responding to regulators and inquiries.

• Governance and corporate structuring

  Advising private and public (listed, unlisted and not-for-profit) organisations on corporate governance matters including providing corporate governance sessions for boards and executive teams on directors duties, governance considerations and emerging risks.

• Commercial contracts and service agreements

  Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements such as template client documentation and master services agreements.
