Innovative thinking by design: Maddocks recognised for innovation strategy

The firm was today listed by Australasian Lawyer in its Innovative Firms 2020 report for our innovation strategy, titled MaddX. The strategy combines investment in client solutions, training in design thinking, regular innovation challenges and an annual innovation week to promote a culture of innovation across the firm.

This is the second straight year the firm has been listed in the Australasian Lawyer Innovative Firms report.

Maddocks Innovation Partner Lindy Richardson said the recognition was a great acknowledgement of the firm’s efforts over many years to encourage creative solutions to issues faced by clients.

‘We see innovation as a way of creating value for both Maddocks and our clients,’ Lindy said.

‘In the past 12 months we have held a number of design thinking workshops with clients to explore ideas for pursuing new ways of working together.

‘Over the past few years our discussions with clients have led to several great solutions, including our Maddocks eContracts and Maddocks ePortfolio platforms for our property development clients, our Fair Deal and Sound Counsel platforms for our local government clients and our Maddocks Digital portal for all of our clients.’
