Maddocks announces 2026 promotions across the firm

Maddocks is pleased to announce its 2026 promotions, with a significant number of individuals being promoted across both legal and Shared Services teams.
In total, 96 of our people will take the next step in their careers, reflecting our continued growth and success over the past year.
Within our legal team, 78 lawyers have been promoted to Special Counsel, Senior Associate and Associate roles. In addition, two Legal Assistants and 13 members of our Shared Services teams have been promoted in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the firm’s operations and client service delivery.
These promotions follow three recently announced partner appointments: Elizabeth Ireland (HTMT, Sydney), Meredith Kennedy (Employment, Safety and People, Melbourne) and Billy Gialamas (Construction, Melbourne).
“Maddocks has promoted a large group of our people which is reflective of a significant period of success and growth for the firm,” said David Newman, CEO of Maddocks.
“These promotions position us strongly for the year ahead, as we continue to work with our clients, embrace change and explore new ways of working.
Congratulations to each of the promoted individuals on this well-deserved recognition of your expertise, dedication and continued contribution to our clients and the firm.”
All promotions will take effect from 1 July.
