About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a Partner and the Head of Trade Marks at Maddocks. She specialises in the management of global, regional and domestic trade mark portfolios, advising clients on brand protection across the full lifecycle of their products and services from development through to enforcement.

Elizabeth provides strategic advice on trade marks, copyright, designs, domain names and business names, and supports clients across advisory, contentious, transactional and regulatory matters. She regularly appears before IP Australia’s Trade Marks Office.

Her experience spans a wide range of sectors, including FMCG, food and beverage, health and beauty, fashion, luxury goods, government, energy, transport, tourism, retail and e-commerce, advising both domestic and international clients operating in Australia.

Elizabeth also advises on advertising and marketing compliance, including claims strategy, regulatory risk and trade promotions. She has particular expertise in food regulation, including food labelling compliance under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.

She works closely with clients on IP commercialisation and transactions, including licences, assignments, co-existence and collaboration agreements, and supports corporate and finance transactions, including IP due diligence and sale documentation.

Elizabeth has been recognised as a Global Leader and for Prosecution and Strategy by the World Trademark Review (WTR). Elizabeth has also been recognised by Best Lawyers 2025 for Retail Law, by Legal 500 as a Next Generation Lawyer and by Managing IP as a Rising Star.
