Maddocks Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

At Maddocks our purpose and our mission is to make a difference for our clients, each other and the Community. We are proud to finalise Maddocks ‘Reflect’ Reconciliation Action plan (RAP).

Cultural diversity and the proper recognition of Australia’s first peoples is an important step for us and the communities in which we operate and our people live.

As a law firm, we are in a position of privilege and have a responsibility to do what we can to contribute to Australia’s reconciliation journey. It is about growing as a firm, as a community and as a nation, bringing people and communities together.

Our Reflect RAP represents the first stage of our reconciliation journey.

We aim to develop a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures within our firm and provide our people with meaningful opportunities for connection, knowledge and reconciliation.

We want to not only develop respect for the rights and opportunities for First Australians – we commit to champion these.

We will work closely with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in each of the locations where our partners and staff work to promote reconciliation within our organisation, with our clients and within the communities in which we operate.

We are excited about our first Reflect RAP and look forward to making a significant contribution to the reconciliation journey in Australia.
