About Simone

Simone has extensive experience advising Government, contractors, developers and institutional investors in transactions, particularly in relation to large civic, aged and health care, commercial, retail and residential projects.

Simone has advised on a broad range of transactional processes, including development agreements, construction contracts, consultant agreements, tender processes for procurement and refurbishment of retail, residential and office facilities.

She specialises in the delivery of projects procured using all types of procurement models, from traditional 'construct only' and 'design and construct' models through to managing contractor models and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).

Simone is recommended by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2023) guide for her work in Infrastructure Projects & Construction.

Experience

  • Court Services Victoria

    Acting for Court Services Victoria on the redevelopment and refurbishment of more than 15 individual courthouses in Victoria and the procurement of a major, long term infrastructure maintenance contract for all court facilities in the State. This includes advising on the $250m upcoming Bendigo Courts Project.

  • Cladding Safety Victoria

    Acting in relation to the roll out of $600 million in cladding rectification funding.

  • Department of Education and Training

    Acting in the AUD 300 million delivery of more than 15 new schools in Victoria, both individually and as part of large bundled design and construct packages .

  • Development Victoria

    Advising on issues arising from the development by the State of Victoria of the Fisherman’s Bend Precinct, being the largest inner city area to be opened for development in Melbourne in the last 20 years.

  • Local Government Major Road Infrastructure Projects

    Advising four local Councils on the procurement of four individual, long term road upgrade and maintenance programs, two of which covered more than 4000km2.
