Respected for his pragmatic, commercial approach, Julian advises a diverse range of clients across the Australian financial services landscape on financial services and corporate law.
His financial services practice involves advising financial market participants on the full financial services lifecycle. Julian counsels new participants on fund structuring and management options, regulatory requirements traversing AFS licensing, AML & CTF requirements, and managed investments law. He also advises on alternative and disruptive financial services businesses, including online foreign exchanges, internal markets and management rights schemes.
Julian’s corporate practice involves advising on capital raising and disclosures, restructures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and directors’ duties, and trusts, corporations and securities law. Julian is head of the Maddocks Corporate & Commercial practice group.
