About Louisa

Louisa provides advisory and litigious support to clients by drawing on her knowledge of legislative frameworks, court procedure and her diverse problem-solving experience. Louisa has advised on a range of complex legal scenarios in the planning, environmental and administrative law space with a focus on class 1 proceedings, regulatory compliance, probity and decision making. Louisa regularly appears in the Land and Environment Court, the National Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Tribunal and occasionally appears in the Local Court.

Louisa has experience in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice group and has been on a number of secondments to both government and corporate clients.

Experience

  • NSW Land and Environment Court

    Advisory and advocacy assistance with multiple Class 1, Class 2, Class 4 and Class 5 proceedings in the Land and Environment Court.

  • Local Councils

    Advisory and advocacy assistance to multiple Councils relating to compliance and enforcement, code of conduct, regulatory matters, policy reviews and queries regarding Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requests.

  • State Government Departments

    Assistance with conflict and corrupt conduct investigations relating to acquisitions and biobanking. Extensive review of policies concerning legal triggers and management of students including extensive engagement with multiple stakeholders.

  • Commonwealth Government

    Advised on and assisted with drafting the Statement of Reasons under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

  • Local Council

    Assistance with queries regarding Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requests.
