Inquiry into the drivers of philanthropic giving in Australia
In May 2023 we noted the Productivity Commission had commenced an inquiry into the drivers of philanthropic giving in Australia.
The Productivity Commission released its draft report on the Future Foundations for Giving on 30 November 2023. It’s open for written submissions until Friday 9 February 2024.
Also, on 1 November 2023, the Department of Social Security’s Community Services Advisory Group Blueprint Expert Reference Group released its NFP Sector Development Blueprint issues paper, which is subject to a consultation period closing on 20 December 2023.
Happy summer reading (and writing)!
Don’t hesitate to contact a member of the Maddocks Charities & Not-for-profits team if you’d like to discuss the issues being raised and considered by either of these processes, or if you’d like to discuss how we could assist your organisation with its response.
